We Care About Our Community
We truly care about our environment and our community.
As surfers we understand the importance of preserving the beautiful nature that we have been blessed with here. Therefore, we look to sponsor community events to promote clean environmental practices. In this vein, we are looking to establish a turtle sanctuary to protect the sea turtles at one of our favorite places.
In addition, we are currently working with an amazing organization, Clean Ocean Access, to help promote and raise money to support clean oceans and coastlines.
We don’t forget about our beloved community and especially our children. We host events to teach children in the community how to surf.
Endless Olas Surf Camp Partners with Global Vision International to Help School Children
As part of our community outreach program, we have partnered with Global Vision International to help school children.
Although primary school is mandatory for all children in Costa Rica, poverty, social issues, and other factors have made it difficult for at-risk children to do well in their pursuit of academic goals and ultimately graduate. Global Vision International has a successful track record of partnering with local schools to help provide motivation for at-risk children to improve school attendance. The non-profit organization provides tutoring, lesson creation, and works with small groups of children to help them discover the benefits and rewards of staying in school.
“Surfing is a great sport for kids,” said Jessica Trombly, managing director of the Endless Olas Surf Camp. “And we believe that education is the best path forward for the youth of Costa Rica, so it is our great pleasure to work with Global Vision International to give our children the best possible future.
The unique combination of waves, pristine beauty, and warm water temperature have made Costa Rica surfing one of the most exciting visitor attractions in the country. Experienced surf instructors at Endless Olas Surf Camp have successfully taught hundreds of children to enjoy the holistic beauty and physical skills that make surfing one of the world’s oldest and most popular sports.
“Few joys can compare to seeing children blossom and learn to be more confident after learning how to surf,” said Luis Gattgens, managing director at Endless Olas. “We believe in giving back to the community, and we’re very excited to be working with Global Vision International to help the children of Costa Rica achieve their dreams.”
Endless Olas Surf Camp is based in Dominical on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica near the popular Manuel Antonio National Park. Founded more than a decade ago by experienced local surfers, Endless Olas was created to help introduce surfing to visitors from around the world as well as close to home. Endless Olas combines video analysis with surf motion expertise to help surfers of all ability levels make the most of their time in the water.
Global Vision International is a global non-profit organization founded in 1998 for the purpose of improving education opportunities. Global Vision International currently operates 450 programs in more than 25 countries around the world.
